R.J. Shuman was born and raised in Cambridge, Ohio. He moved to Central Ohio to play football at Capital University, where he ultimately earned a degree in Psychology. It was here that he fell in love with the arts; spending most of his time in the University's Theatre Department performing in plays, musicals, and Improvisational Comedy.

After graduation, he received a Presidential Commission as an Officer in the U.S. Navy, where he was a decorated Naval Flight Officer flying multiple wartime strike missions in a carrier-based jet aircraft during Operation Iraqi Freedom.

As he transitioned from the military, Mental Health become a focus as he worked as a therapist and also provided Suicide Prevention training to thousands of students in Delaware and Morrow County. R.J.'s knowledge of human behavior and leadership skills adds a unique perspective to Amber's marketing, communication, and relationship building expertise.
